Difference between MGPS and ICCP

Publish Time: 2025-10-24     Origin: Site

The MGPS anti-fouling device primarily prevents marine organisms from attaching and protects seawater pipelines from corrosion by generating biocides or metal ions through electrolysis.

In contrast, the ICCP cathodic protection system prevents hull corrosion by lowering the hull's potential and increasing the electron density on the hull surface.

The principles and applications of the two are significantly different.
