According to the report from HK Wen Wei News, China's first domestic aircraft carrier began to hoist and replace the FRP life raft on the port side on 21st June, indicating that its service period is approaching and will be unveiled in a new installation.
The replacement life raft was installed in place in late March 2018. It can be thrown into the water from a height of 18 meters from the water surface and kept intact. It will automatically inflate when it is in 10 seconds of water, and can rescue at least 15 people at one time.
