The disadvantage is that the process is complicated, the cost is high, and the impact resistance is poor. The electric welding anchor chain is made by bending and welding with the round steel material that meets the requirements, and has the advantages of advanced production technology, simple, low cost and good quality. The forged anchor chain has good impact toughness, but the manufacturing process is complicated, the cost is high, and the quality is unstable.
At present, the electric welding anchor chain has been the most widely used on merchant ships. Almost all of the anchor chains are made by flash welding, and less cast anchor chains are used. Except for the chain attachments, which are mostly forged parts, the forged anchor chain has been basically eliminated.
It is used to produce stud link anchor chain steel grade. The welding anchor chain is divided into three grades of M1, M2 and M3. The cast steel anchor chain is divided into two grades of M2 and M3. Before the corresponding code, add A (such as AM2) to indicate that there is a chain, and B to indicate that there is no chain (there are two levels of BM1 and BM2). The higher the steel grade, the greater the tensile strength. AM1 grade anchor chain steel is killed steel, AM2, AM3 grade anchor chain steel is fully sedative fine grain treated steel.
