Marine growth prevention devices for ships, also known as MGPS, operate based on the marine environment and the target organisms.
These devices can be divided into electrolytic chlorine mode and electrolytic copper-aluminum mode.
In tropical regions with high biological activity, the electrolytic chlorine mode is more suitable. It generates chlorine gas by electrolyzing seawater, which reacts with water to produce strong oxidants such as hypochlorous acid, effectively killing marine organisms.
In contrast, in temperate regions with low biological activity, the electrolytic copper-aluminum mode is more appropriate. In this mode, the copper anode electrolysis produces copper ions that inhibit the growth of marine organisms.
At the same time, the aluminum anode electrolysis generates substances such as aluminum hydroxide, which form a protective anti-corrosion layer on the ship's surface.

QLFH series of Marine Growth Preventing System (MGPS) control box with multiple setsof multiple independent constant-current control module within the seawater bin anode (anti-fouling electrode of copper, anti-corrosion electrode of aluminum or iron electrodes) were powered electrolysis to produce anti-fouling, anti- corrosion ions in seawater and then distributed throughout the sea water cooling piping system to effectively reduce and prevent marine biofouling seawater pipeline caused by biological corrosion and electrochemical corrosion, thus ensuring the normal operation of seawater piping systems.

The device is divided into direct installation and increase the electrobath to indirect installation.
